How to find us

 

The courts are situated in the 'Western Quad' within the grounds of Uppingham School, on the left off Leicester Road, ten yards before the pedestrian crossing as you drive out of Uppingham. There is no access directly off the Leicester Road.

 

Members can access the courts using their swipecard via the pedestrian gate at the side of the Theatre, or the gate at the Sports Centre, then through the grounds past the Leonardo Centre and Science Block. Click here for a block plan of the route.

 

Members are asked to use the School Sports Centre car park but please be aware the gates are securely padlocked around 9.45pm and outside of term times are only open during Sports Centre hours. If in doubt, please check with the Sports Centre to avoid having your vehicle locked in!

Travelling from further afield

 

From Leicester:

Leave Leicester city centre on the Uppingham Road and head East following the signs for Peterborough and the A47. After the turning for Belton in Rutland on the left and Wardley on the right - take the next right hand filter signposted for Uppingham. This is the 'old' Leicester Road - follow for about half a mile, you will see the School playing fields on your right, turn right into the School Sports Centre Car Park and follow the route detailed above.

 

From Peterborough:

Leave Peterborough and cross the A1 at Wansford following the signs for Leicester and the A47. Cross the A43 at the Duddington roundabout and continue on the A47. After passing through Glaston take the second left signposted Uppingham.

 

Continue to a mini roundabout and proceed straight over to the crossroads with the BP garage on your right. Follow for about half a mile on the 'old' Leicester Road - turn left into the School Sports Centre Car Park and follow the route detailed above.
